Artistic Director
Charles Loffredo is a native of Staten Island, NY, where he fell in love with the theater at an early age. He spent his college years at NYU, graduating with honors and a degree in drama and vocal performance. Soon after he began performing in local and regional productions, both musical and dramatic. From 1994 to 2000 he was a resident member of
New Directions Theater in Manhattan. His work with that company includes performing in the NY theatrical premieres of Joyce Carol Oates’
Here She Is! and Michael Weller’s Ghost on Fire, as well as directing the world premiere of
Red Lights and Dragons by Oscar-nominated writer Herman Rauscher (Summer of ‘42.) He also performed a leading role in the NY Times lauded production of Richard Willett’s
Triptych, and received an OOBR award for outstanding production of 1997 for directing Willett’s The Godsend. On television he has appeared on
All My Children, One Life to Live, Loving, Guiding Light, Central Park West and
The Dana Carvey Show. |
